Board and Brew — a beachy sandwich concept founded by Tom Powers in 1979 — is opening another location at 21211 Hawthorne Boulevard in Torrance.

The incoming outpost will be helmed by Chris Combs and MLB agent/advisor Chad Eberhardt, according to a recently-filed ABC application.

Eberhardt tells What Now Los Angeles the duo is aiming for a late October, early November debut.

It appears Eberhardt is also the proud owner of three Chronic Tacos — a Newbort Beach-born fast-casual Mexican chain founded by Daniel Biello and Randy Wyner.

Board & Brew serves specialty sandwiches and craft beer in open, airy settings that call back to beach days gone by.

The menu offers fresh, clean options like the Turkado (turkey breast, jack cheese, and avocado on sourdough bread with mayo, onion, tomato, and lettuce) and the Tub o Tuna, as well as “dirtier” selections like the Left Coast Pastrami and Baja Beef. Crisp chopped salads are also available and a single wrap option.

Per the brand’s website, “Everything we make is created in-house, from scratch, like your great-grandmother used to make. We work directly with local farmers and purveyors to source the highest quality hormone-free, organic when possible, and sustainably farmed meats, dairy, and produce so your taste buds and your soul are satisfied.”
