Gone Bananas is working on a holiday pop-up in Westfield Century City, “Right near Tesla in the middle of the mall,” says co-owner Estee Stanley. The shop will be open from Nov. 23-Dec. 26 with plans to turn it into a permanent fixture at the mall thereafter. The team is currently building out the space.

Gone Bananas started as a charity project in 2020 during the pandemic. Stanley and her business partner, Leah Smith, sold their banana bread to support frontline workers. They began as a pop-up in The Original Farmers Market and now have a permanent stall inside the market.

“We’re searching for more store spaces, and we’re also getting a food truck, which will hopefully be up and running in a couple of months,” Stanley shares.

Stanley and Smith bake all their products at an offsite location and have it delivered to their stores, which include a variety of banana bread loaves, muffins, bites, puddings, etc. They are also planning to launch their ice cream in the next few months at their site in The Original Farmers Market.
