Gott’s Roadside, one of Northern California’s most adored burger brands, is getting ready to open a new location in the Fairfax District, located at 6333 West 3rd Street.

Previously, What Now Los Angeles reported that Gott’s Roadside was planning to open in Santa Monica, but the development fell through, and the company continued searching for the right location. Now, the St. Helena-based burger company is set to officially make its Southern California debut in the Original Farmer’s Market, opening in Fall 2025, according to Eater Los Angeles. This is excellent news for Los Angeles, as Gott’s Roadside is considered one of the best burgers in Northern California.

This title doesn’t come without any merit. Gott’s Roadside received a James Beard America’s Classics award in 2006 and has been featured in multiple publications for its burgers. Customers can expect the same menu that is found at the company’s other locations, such as the California Burger with a fried egg, Zoe’s bacon, and balsamic onions; Ahi Poke Crispy Tacos with sushi grade Ahi tuna; Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich with harissa and turmeric spiced mayos; Chicken Kale Caesar; and hand-spun organic shakes.

This is a massive accomplishment for the owners, Joel and Duncan Gott. The two brothers bought a food stand called Taylor Refresher and renamed it Taylor’s Automatic Refresher in 1999. Following a trademark dispute, the owners eventually renamed the concept to what it is today. Since officially establishing itself as Gott’s Roadside in 2010, the company has expanded to eight locations, including Napa, San Francisco, Marin, Palo Alto, and Walnut Creek.
