Great White, an Aussie‑style, all‑day cafe that first opened in Venice Beach in 2017, is getting ready to open a new location in Manhattan Beach at 401 Manhattan Beach Blvd.
The company’s sixth location is set to move into the former home of Pitfire Pizza, according to a recent liquor license application. It’s unclear when this location will open, but Great White is still working on a new site coming to Studio City, which will replace a former PizzaRev location. The company, owned and operated by co-founders Sam Trude and Sam Cooper, currently has locations in Venice, Larchmont, West Hollywood, and most recently, Brentwood, which opened in April at 11660 Darlington Avenue, expanding its lineup of all-day cafes across Los Angeles.
The Brentwood location features a menu led by chef and Food and Beverage Director Juan Ferreiro, offering fresh, seasonal dishes, coffee, smoothies, signature breakfast items, salads, bowls, sandwiches, and wood-fired pizzas. The beverage program includes a rotating selection of natural wines and small-batch cocktails. The 2,700-square-foot space incorporates the brand’s signature design elements, a custom sound system, and artwork by Los Angeles-based artist Michael Harnish. The cafe is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with reservations available through Resy.
Great White offers an all-day menu, featuring breakfast served until 3 p.m. and items such as smoothie bowls, ricotta hotcakes, and breakfast burritos. Lunch and dinner options feature wood-fired pizzas, fish tacos, kale-pesto pasta, and steak with mushroom fries. The beverage selection includes an espresso bar, juices, smoothies, cocktails, and a curated list of natural wines. Menu items are available across all locations, with minor adjustments based on neighborhood preferences. Prices for most entrees range from approximately $18 to $24, reflecting the cafe’s commitment to using locally sourced ingredients.
