Studio Golf South Bay, an upcoming premium indoor golf and fitness studio with an on-site bar and lounge, is set to open in El Segundo at 2201 Park Pl.
The company is preparing to open soon, focusing on blending indoor golf performance and social experience, according to a recent application for a California Type 40 liquor license, which allows on-site beer consumption. The grand opening is now scheduled for July 24th from 5–9 p.m., featuring an open bar, live music, a DJ, giveaways, and more. The new facility will feature a full-service lounge with casual seating, large screens, and a curated beer selection, offering members a space to relax after simulator sessions or enjoy league nights and events. A Type 40 license permits beer sales without requiring a full kitchen, allowing for a casual, flexible lounge atmosphere suitable for both adults and minors.
This location, owned and operated by Devan Bonebrake, Derek Holman, and Philip Ingram, continues the model established at Studio Golf’s other locations in San Diego, CA; Scottsdale, AZ; and El Paso, TX. These studios combine TrackMan simulator technology, putting analysis tools like PuttView, and expert coaching from PGA-certified professionals. South Bay will also feature dedicated fitness and recovery zones, with programming developed by celebrity trainer Don Saladino, as well as custom club-fitting services. Additional technology includes Sportsbox AI for 3-D swing analysis, a Zen Hitting Stage to simulate real-world lies, and Force Plates to analyze ground reaction forces—tools trusted by top pros such as Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Bryson DeChambeau.
The studio will also house California’s largest PuttView system and a 10,000-square-foot open layout, ideal for both performance and events. These amenities are designed to serve both serious players and social golfers alike, creating a well-rounded destination that emphasizes both improvement and enjoyment. Founding memberships are currently available for approximately $295 per month and include access to simulator bays, golf and fitness instruction, the new lounge, and member-exclusive events. Sessions and services can be easily booked through the StudioGolf app, making it simple to schedule time for training, recovery, or socializing.
Members will also benefit from full-time golf instructors, golf fitness specialists, club-fitters, and putting instructors, along with access to a functional training gym, three infrared saunas, cold plunges, private showers with towel service, and a member bar and lounge with a 170-inch screen that can split into four displays—perfect for big games and football season. With a growing community, tech-driven instruction, and a bar and lounge now in the mix, Studio Golf South Bay is positioned to offer a unique all-in-one golfing experience when it opens its doors later this year. However, an exact opening date is unclear.
