Honey Greens Juice Bar, Southern California’s first vegan soft serve food truck, is opening its first brick-and-mortar in Downey, located at 10407 Lakewood Blvd.

Their first location will open within a 1,200 square-foot location at an unknown date. Owner Melissa Murguia was unable to be reached for further details, despite efforts from What Now Los Angeles. What is known is the new juice cafe will serve plant-based soft serve, juices, and smoothies. Honey Greens Juice Bar will replace Hair & Nail Affair and will sit next to the Crimson Coward.

Since last year, Honey Greens Juice Bar has served its vegan soft serve from a roaming food truck. Since then, the food truck has made stops at Orange County Vegan Fest, Vegan Exchange LA, and Downey’s Farmers Market. Before their website went down, customers could follow the food truck’s schedule, as well as request catering.

The new brick-and-mortar will likely feature some of Honey Greens Juice Bar’s recent menu additions, such as spicy pineapple soft serve, strawberry shortcake soft serve, and dragon fruit floats. To add a little more flavor, they top their soft serves with various spices, including house chamoy, chili powder, and garnished with a tamarind stick. Finally, if these delicious flavors weren’t enough, customers can add organic superfood boosts such as ashwagandha powder, cordyceps powders, rhodiola powder, maca root, and several others.
