Redondo Beach restaurant Hudson House is switching hands after 12 years in service. Co-Owner and Top Chef star Brooke Williamson announced the news alongside husband Nick Roberts on Instagram Tuesday. Hudson House was named after the couple’s son, Hudson.

“12 years ago, before Hudson had taken his first steps, [Nick Roberts] and I took a gamble on a little neighborhood spot in Redondo Beach…one which we would name after said crawling baby…,” Williamson wrote in the social media post. “…Thank you for teaching our now almost 13-year-old Hudson (the kid, not the bar) the meaning of extended family, hard work, and uplifting community…”

Williamson’s successors have not been named, but Eater LA reports the mysterious new owners “say they have every intention of keeping the Hudson House spirit alive from the food to the ambiance, once it is safe to do so again.”

“It is with a great deal of sadness that we have made the difficult decision to cut our losses after what has been the most difficult year that restaurants have ever seen,” Williamson wrote. “We will walk with the knowledge that we’ve made a mark, produced entire families, and worked hard with reward. The silver lining? Through a turn of events, [Hudson House] will remain, but under new ownership … we know that the new owners will make Hudson proud, and continue to provide the warm and welcoming Hudson House that we all hold so close to our hearts.”
