The Bungalow Kitchen — located at 6400 E Pacific Coast Hwy Suite 200, Long Beach, CA 90803 in the 2nd & PCH open-air lifestyle center — will soon shut down for a light overhaul of both the menu and space.

This closure & renovation arrives on the heels of nightlife veteran Brent Bolthouse’s decision to pivot the restaurant back to its original concept — a massive bar and lounge with snacks and music — which chef Michael Mina will not be a part of.

After the pandemic forced the establishment away from its nightlife-geared concept — “DJs, lounge service, and bar vibes” — The Bungalow had little choice but to lean into a restaurant model with Mina’s creations “helping to bring in an audience,” says Eater LA

Now, however, Bolthouse is eager to return to “more of a bar and lounge by mid-March.”

The Bungalow, which will soon drop “kitchen” from its name, has sibling stores in Huntington Beach and Santa Monica.
