The former Fish-O-Licious located at 2594 Cherry Avenue in Signal Hill is presently under construction to become a branch of the beloved American-Chinese chain Panda Express, according to a “coming soon” banner on the site’s facade.
The incoming Panda Express will join a number of businesses in the massive Cherry Avenue lot anchored by both Costco and Home Depot, including PetSmart, Waba Grill, Subway, Wells Fargo, and Tmobile.
While no definitive opening date for the Signal Hill Panda outpost has been made available, the space’s interior and exterior appear to still be undergoing the early stages of renovation.
Panda Express is an American fast-food restaurant chain that specializes in American Chinese cuisine. With over 2,200 locations, it is the largest Asian-segment restaurant chain in the United States where it was founded and is mainly located in North America and Asia.
The menu popularly serves dishes like orange chicken, beef and broccoli, mushroom chicken, kung pao chicken, honey walnut shrimp, and more alongside sides like fried rice, chow mein, egg rolls, and desserts. Its offerings can be enjoyed as a bowl, plate, “larger” plate, a la carte, or family style.
