Loteria Grill is not expanding to a fourth location in Hollywood, located at 6627 W. Hollywood Blvd.

The restaurant began under owner/ executive chef Jimmy Shaw in 2002. Official documents signified he was going to move into a 3,888 square-foot restaurant with 85 interior seats and 24 outdoor, according to a case filing for the restaurant submitted to the City of Los Angeles. Despite the plans being approved, Shaw tells What Now Los Angeles the restaurant is not expanding to a fourth location.

Loteria Grill currently has three other locations in Los Angeles. Two of them are within LAX, in terminals 5 and 7, while the third is in Mid-City. The LAX locations are both sit-in restaurants, while the latter is a taqueria. Customers can expect to find authentic Mexican dishes from Loteria Grill, including burritos, tacos, and enchiladas.

“Lotería is all about delicious regional foods, prepared the way they are in Mexico; proper ingredients and techniques – no shortcuts,” according to their website. “At heart, we are a contemporary rendition of the fabulous stall-restaurant puestos of Mexico’s famous mercados, where we present marketplace and home-style favorites.”

Correction: This article previously misstated the restaurant was expanding to a fourth location. Owner Jimmy Shaw tells What Now Los Angeles the plans are not moving forward.
