Lucky’s Steakhouse, which has existing Southern California locations in Montecito and Malibu, is eyeing growth this year in the Los Angeles market. It is planning to take over the Nerano location in Beverly Hills at 9960 S. Santa Monica Blvd, according to sources familiar with the plans.
Nerano owners Carlo and Andy Brandon-Gordon recently announced plans to close Nerano on July 25 after a nearly decade-long run.
“Nearly ten years ago, we opened the doors to Nerano in Beverly Hills with a simple dream: to create a place where exceptional food, genuine hospitality and meaningful friendships could come together around the table,” the Brandon-Gordons shared in a recent social media post. “Today, after nearly ten wonderful years, it is with heavy hearts that we share our difficult decision to close our beloved restaurant.”
Lucky’s Steakhouse is aiming for a December opening in the space.
The high-end steakhouse, which serves steaks, chops, sandwiches and seafood, launched in 2000 in Montecito. It is part of the Montesano Group portfolio, which also includes D’Angelo Bakery, Joe’s Cafe and Tre Lune.
Lucky’s expanded to the East Coast in 2024, opening a spot in SoHo in Manhattan. It added a second location in New York in East Hampton in 2025.
