Mexican fusion poke and sushi restaurant Pokitomas is expanding to a second location in Stevenson Ranch, located at 24921 Pico Canyon Rd.
The newest location will move into a 1,225 square-foot space at an unknown date. Pokitomas shouldn’t take long to move into its second home, as it is taking over the recently closed Poke Bar. Owner Rafael Torres III, the founder of Torres Foods Incorporated, who owns Pokitomas, hopes to continue to provide Japanese favorites with their signature Mexican twist. The original location at 1201 Truman St. opened back in 2019.
Pokitomas keeps their menu simple, offering bowls, sushi burritos, and poke nachos, all customizable to your liking. They also have a variety of sushi, including specialty and hand rolls. Pokitomas has dozens of toppings, sauces, and sides to complement the Japanese-influenced dishes, with a good amount of spicier options.
“Poké was a treat but not something we found easily accessible, so we decided to experiment with the ingredients at home and, to our amazement, we found that we added new flavors that have never been added to poké before” according to their website. “And so began our journey to creating something unique and entirely new – a menu that blends the essence of traditional poké with the explosive flavors of Hispanic cuisine.”
