Que Vida Tacos, a brand new Mexican restaurant offering quick-service delicious tacos at an affordable price, is making its way toward Huntington Beach, located at 19684 Beach Blvd.
The fast-casual Mexican restaurant initially aimed to open its first location in Newport Coast in early August, but the restaurant has yet to open its doors. The second restaurant also does not have an official opening date at this point. It will be replacing Super Mex, which closed down a few months ago. The new restaurant promises to offer both elegance and quick service to its customers.
Que Vida Tacos comes from veteran General Manager, now owner, Bryan Bradford, who spent 12 years at winery restaurants in Newport Beach, Tustin, and Lahora. He takes everything he’s learned and uses it to create a new fast-casual restaurant experience with elevated counter service. Customers will have the ability to order from their seats after ordering with the help of a roaming manager with a handheld device.
The tacos will be full size, not street size, and average between $2.95 and $3.50. Meats can be either grilled or roasted and include chicken, carnitas, buttered lobster, chili lime shrimp, and grilled octopus; all served with charred bud cabbage. Once you receive your tacos, don’t forget to drown them in their homemade tortilla salsa. Finally, to wash it all down, Que Vida Tacos offers a full-fledged bar with “Mexico regional cocktails” ranging from $5.50 to $9.
“Imagine a local octopus shop blending with the luxury elegance of a full-service restaurant,” owner Brian Bradford told California News Times back in April regarding the Newport Coast location. “We are a quick service over-the-counter restaurant, but what’s really cool is to offer the concept of an open kitchen. We have professional tacos, taco makers, authentic local tacos, and chef-led tacos.”
