Raising Cane’s, a fast-casual restaurant chain founded in 1996 by Todd Graves and Craig Silvey in Baton Rouge, is potentially opening a new location in Long Beach at 3301 Atlantic Ave.
The company’s newest location appears to be moving into the former home of El Torito, which has sat vacant since March 2024, according to LongBeachize. What Now Los Angeles has yet to confirm this location, but it will make for some interesting competition, considering Chick-fil-A sits across the street. Nonetheless, the incoming arrival of a new Raising Cane’s proves the beloved chicken concept is still interested in expanding throughout Los Angeles County.
Raising Cane’s menu has captivated its fans due to its focus on simplicity and quality. The chain is known for its signature chicken fingers, served with Texas toast, crinkle-cut fries, and a choice of dipping sauces, including its signature Cane’s Sauce. In addition to its classic combo meals, the restaurant offers chicken sandwiches and occasional limited-time items. Raising Cane’s commitment to using fresh, never frozen chicken has helped it maintain a loyal customer base nationwide.
This isn’t the only location Raising Cane’s is working on in Los Angeles County. The company is expanding its presence in Los Angeles, with several new locations in development, previously reported by What Now. A restaurant is set to open in Hollywood at 5920 W. Sunset Boulevard, expected by late summer or fall of 2026. Another location is planned for Westwood Village at the corner of Weyburn and Broxton avenues. Additionally, a new 1,800-square-foot spot is under construction in the NoHo Arts District at 4829 N. Lankershim Blvd.
