From the yellow truck to many a brick-and-mortar, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is busy scooping the ‘good-good’ stuff in New York, New Jersey, Texas, Philly, and California. Los Angeles has been lucky enough to sport five of the shop’s brick-and-mortars, as well as a truck that can be found on Abbot Kinney most weekends. And, fortunately for us, it looks like there is room for at least one more shop.

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream will open on Ventura Blvd. in Studio City early next year. Speaking with What Now Los Angeles, Owner Ben Van Leeuween confirmed the plans and shared the new shop will likely open in mid-January.

As a wildly-loved purveyor of delicious frozen treats, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream puts much of its faith in the importance of simple, harmonious ingredients and, being vegan-conscious as well, whips up non-dairy bases with coconut, cashew, and oat, so there’s something for every palette.

It’s also pretty clear that Van Leeuwen Ice Cream takes pleasure in working with new ingredients. Have you sampled the shop’s Kraft Macaroni & Cheese option? The earl grey tea flavor also marks a willingness to adventure beyond the typical, but lovers of more traditional flavors can also find options like cookies and cream, vanilla bean, and salted caramel.

Oh, and it would probably be wise to follow Van Leeuwen on social media to see just what the company will think of next.
