Sugar Taco and The Plant Butchers will open at the southwest corner of West Broadway and Magnolia Avenue (500 W Broadway, Long Beach, CA 90802) on the ground floor level of Long Beach’s The Magnolia — a luxury apartment complex. In addition to the “coming soon” signage plastered to the retail space’s windows, each business’s Instagram has confirmed the intel.

On October 21, Sugar Taco shared a video on Instagram with co-owners Jayde Nicole, Nia Gatica, and Tina Louise — who also own The Plant Butchers — walking through the soon-to-be eatery. The caption reads as follows:

“Some of you know this, but we are excited to officially announce that our Long Beach location is underway and we will be opening early next year!! As a small business (especially a woman-owned business!) we are so moved by and [appreciative] of the support we’ve received. From our many loyal customers to our incredible female investors, we are so grateful you share and champion our vision. It feels surreal that we are on location number three and we can’t wait to see you in Long Beach so soon.”

Playboy Playmate Jayde Nicole, actress-activist Nia Gatica, and model & restaurateur Tina Louise opened Sugar Taco’s flagship location in Melrose in 2019. Shortly after, the trio opened a second location in Sherman Oaks. The menu offers an all-vegan lineup of delicious renditions of savory & sweet Mexican treats.

As for The Plant Butchers, it will offer artisan meats, cheeses, sauces, dressings, and more — all with a mission to keep traditions alive while helping reduce the harm that animal agriculture entails. It’s unclear as to when TPB will debut.
