Echo Park in spring 2020 will welcome Super Sweet, a new storefront touting itself as LA’s first go at combining tattoos and coffee under one roof.

The tattoo and coffee shop is opening in a recently-renovated standalone commercial building, at 1345 Glendale Blvd, that was once home to La Nueva Jerusalem.

The City of Los Angeles last week issued the necessary permits for commercial construction to begin in the 1,500-square-foot Super Sweet space.

Additional details surrounding the shop are scarce as all else that exists is a landing page and a blank Facebook profile.

Across Glendale Blvd and cattywampus from Super Sweet, Starbucks is in the process of converting a shuttered KFC/Taco Bell into its newest coffee shop.

Super Sweet won’t have to worry about losing its “first” title, however, because the only ink Starbucks will be offering in its new store is from the Sharpies used in misspelling names on its cups.
