The Alchemists, a Southern California-based restaurant group with several concepts in the area, is getting ready to open a new one at 255 Long Beach Blvd in Long Beach.

The group, led by CEO Leonard Chan, recently submitted a liquor license application to open a new concept in downtown Long Beach. While the specific details regarding the concept are unclear, it’s a significant achievement for The Alchemists, who have opened several concepts while working with other clients to help open their restaurants. Restaurants under their portfolio include The Iron Press, The Blind Rabbit, Rolling Boil, Barcode, and more.

While it’s unclear what the concept will be and what it will replace, it will land in an excellent location in the heart of downtown Long Beach. Currently, Rosemallows sits at this address. It’s unclear if this new concept will move within Rosemallows or replace it. Regardless, The Alchemists are obtaining a liquor license for an on-sale general eating place at this location.

“From the structure to the materials, we design, contract and build out your restaurant,” according to the comapny’s website. “We love putting our experience to use in creating the best version of your vision for your space – whether it be simply the layout of your restaurant, bar, and kitchen or completely designing the space all the way to fit and finish. We partner with a variety of architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure you are comfortable with your entire design and construction experience, down to helping you choose the best equipment. The end result is a gold mine.”
