Tuk Tuk Thai is relocating from its original location in Pico-Robinson to Sawtelle Japantown, located at 1640 Sawtelle Blvd.
The new location will take over the former home of Cafe Dahab, which closed down early this year. The addition of this restaurant marks the first Thai street food restaurant on Sawtelle Blvd., according to Toddrickallen. The newly relocated restaurant, owned and operated by Katy Noochla-or and her sister/ executive chef Amanda Kuntee, hopes to open in early December 2021. They will share the building with a smoke shop, Cinefile Video, and Louigi’s Italian Kitchen when they do open.
Operations and menu items are expected to remain the same once they move into their new location. The original location at 8875 W Pico Blvd featured a variety of snacks, soups, and salads to get customers started. For entrees, Tuk Tuk Thai has various options from famous rice dishes, stir fry, curry, and seafood specials. Despite their extensive menu, most customers have agreed that the pad thai is their go-to menu choice. On top of the appealing dinner items, the restaurant also offers catering options to make your next event a little tastier.
