A Popular Italian Chocolate Brand Is Opening at Westfield Topanga This Week

Italian chocolatier Venchi is set to open at Westfield Topanga, bringing its signature experience to the San Fernando Valley.

Venchi, a global luxury chocolate and gelato brand, is expanding its presence in Los Angeles. Venchi is set to welcome customers at its new store in Westfield Topanga on May 15, 2026. The store will offer customers Venchi’s signature chocolates and house-made gelato.

Westfield Topanga is adding another international concept to its growing retail lineup. The opening marks another step in Venchi’s continued expansion across major U.S. retail markets.

Venchi is known for its gourmet chocolates, truffles, chocoviar, crepes, and artisanal gelato. Guests can expect premium chocolates and fresh gelato made in-store daily. The new store will feature colorful chocolate displays, customizable gift boxes, and a full menu of gelato flavors and sorbets.

The grand opening celebration on Friday will continue through the weekend with product samples and special in-store events. The brand aims to bring a taste of Italian confectionery culture to Los Angeles with products made using natural ingredients and palm oil-free recipes, including a range of vegan-friendly options.

The Heritage and Expansion of Venchi

Venchi was established in 1878 in Turin, Italy, by Silviano Venchi. The brand started as a small shop, experimenting, crafting, and using the best ingredients to create chocolate. One of the company’s early signature products was its Nougatine, made with dark chocolate and caramelized Piedmont hazelnuts.

The company continued its focus on traditional Italian confectionery and became a premium chocolate manufacturer.

Today, Venchi operates in more than 70 countries with hundreds of stores worldwide. A diverse range of chocolates, pralines, spreads, and artisanal gelato flavors is offered. The company’s retail concept revolves around creating a “Chocogelateria”, a mix of chocolate and gelato for an immersive experience.

Venchi’s products are free of artificial preservatives, colors, and flavors. Venchi keeps on creating innovative recipes, such as its famous Chocoviar collection, by combining the traditional preparation methods with modern demand.

Westfield Topanga is one of the major shopping hubs in Southern California. It houses a variety of luxury brands, fashion stores, restaurants, and entertainment spots. The mall’s mix of international retailers and experience-driven concepts attracts shoppers from across the region.
