Mother’s Market & Kitchen, an all-natural and organic health food store, is hoping to open a third Los Angeles location in Central Hollywood, located at 6677 W. Santa Monica Blvd.

The company recently submitted an application to the Los Angeles City Planning Department to open its 12th overall location, with most stores being in Orange County. If plans are approved, the new Mother’s Market & Kitchen will move into a shell retail space that is currently under construction. The new 12,455 square-foot grocery store has daily proposed hours from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. All of this is pending final approval, but if everything goes accordingly, the company will likely open the new location by the end of the year, possibly early 2023.

Mother’s Market was founded in 1978 by a group of yoga enthusiasts consisting of friends and family, led by Bruce Macgurn, who passed away in 2015. The group couldn’t find a place that carried vegetarian foods and related lifestyle products they searched for. As a result, they decided to join their resources and talent to provide the community with a natural foods market and restaurant not available elsewhere. In 2016, Mother’s Market joined forces with Mill Road Capital to continue the expansion of more stores.

The company takes pride in having all the best products for specialized diets. Customers can expect to find top-quality local and organic produce and the county’s largest selection of supplements. Everything in the store is either organic, non-GMO, vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, low carbohydrate, low-glycemic, low-fat, or low-salt. All groceries and products will be available to pick up and delivery.
