Eric Bute, the owner of the film production company Tribute Studio, is starting up an alcohol wholesale brand called Pride Spirit Company — with an emphasis on the pride community. Coming in spring 2021, Pride Spirit Company will be working with liquors that involve natural underground aquifers in its distillation. While it hasn’t landed an exact address yet, Bute operates his studio out of 2331 Glyndon Ave in Venice.

Bute did tell What Now Los Angeles (WNLA) over the phone on Tuesday that he’s looking into Palm Springs and a couple of other locations, but nothing solid has been laid out yet.

Bute filed both a type 12 and type 18 liquor license, which allows for the importation of distilled spirits as well as offering them up for wholesale. This operation comes with a whole line of distilled spirits, like Vodka and Mezcal, Bute said. “The packaging is really cool,” Bute told WNLA, describing the graffiti spray paint-based design of the bottles themselves.

Bute was also featured on Boutique Homes, along with his wife Jessica, for renovating an old 1963 Palm Springs home which, in 2019, was featured in Palm Springs Modernism Week. Pride Spirit Company’s license was filed under the name they’ve given the house, Besveca, the initials of their seven children.
