A brand new concept called The Tipsy Falcon is preparing to debut in Hawthorne, located at 5023 W Rosecrans Ave.

The new concept is set to move into the former home of many establishments, including Falcon Inn Cantina, Big O Fish Brews And Grill, and Durty Burd’s Sports Bar & Grill, according to a recent liquor license application. Owner Riley Montz, owner of the Richmond Bar & Grill, tells What Now Los Angeles that he and his business partner, Zach Lyall, hope to open this new concept in March 2025 under Rosecrans Hospitality LLC.

Montz was named a “Hospitality Hero” by the City of El Segundo during the pandemic when he and Lyall bought Richmond Bar & Grill and took the time to re-build the restaurant, which has been serving El Segundo since 1976. Then, in 2022, Montz and Lyall bought The Library Alehouse, which has been around since 1995. The duo successfully breathed new life into the space with several renovations. The casual, library-themed restaurant remains a popular option in Santa Monica.

Now, the two are looking to be ready to take on a new project called Tipsy Falcon’s Fancy Lounge. While few details have been shared regarding this concept, Montz tells What Now Los Angeles that this will be a retro 70’s throwback bar. The recent liquor license applications suggest the lounge will have plenty of beer, liquor, and wine for its patrons. There will likely be some food options as well.
