Hope springs eternal for a Memphis area restaurant that’s faced-and overcome-quite a bit of adversity over the past few years. Belly Acres, which boasts a superior burger amongst other delicious options, may yet reopen its East Memphis location, thanks to new ownership, reports Commercial Appeal.

Belly Acres’ East Memphis storefront has had a complicated history, full of controversy and fiscal difficulties. After coming face-to-face with an uncertain future, the brand is in new, capable hands. Brothers Adam and Brian Leith are hoping to bring stability back to the flailing brand. The duo have breathed new life into Belly Acres’ Southaven location and have high hopes for the company’s 6130 Poplar Avenue storefront.

For Memphis locals who haven’t been following the hot Belly Acres gossip, the restaurant was evicted from its Poplar Avenue home in August of this year. The Leith brothers are currently working with Boyle Investment Company to hopefully reopen the East Memphis location.

Belly Acres serves up a delicious menu, certain to please every visitor-and sure to ignite excitement in the East Memphis dining scene, regarding its return. The website explains: “ From our 100% grass fed beef burgers and hand breaded free range chicken tenders to our gigantic salads, fresh homemade veggies, or vegetarian burger options-We have it all! Don’t forget the dessert! We have over ten flavors of milkshakes and a yummy ice cream sandwich made with our chocolate chip cookies! “
