Little Petals has a certificate of occupancy under review with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development for its 551 S Highland Street storefront as of March 5. The paperwork establishes that the restaurant will span 3,510 square feet and describes the upcoming establishment as “Sister restaurant to Petals of a Peony, menu has a hybrid offering of authentic Sichuan Chinese and American Chinese food.”
An exact opening date is not yet available, however delicious Chinese food is right around the corner for locals eager to sample Little Petals’ food. The company website states that the new location will be opening in 2 months.
Little Petals is one of the region’s most celebrated concepts, having earned acclaim from the Michelin Guide. The restaurant brings authenticity to the Memphis dining scene and is “born from a love of all things Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Our founder spent three years in Chengdu and fell in love with the city and the food. She brought to America everything she loved — the flavors, the feelings, the family-style restaurants — so that you can get a taste of Sichuan, too.”
