A new home for good times and good drinks is on the horizon for Memphis locals. An original concept called Bar Billares las Traviesas has filed paperwork to open in the city, and it’s bringing a side of welcome and recreation with it.

The sports bar is making its way to 4330 American Way. A certificate of occupancy filed with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development offers some insight as to what’s in store; the project is described as a “Sports Bar, a relaxed place to have an ice cold beer, shoot a game of pool, or throw darts with friends.” Bar Billares las Traviesas will span 5,115 square feet and will have an occupant load of 50.

Little is known about the bar beyond its general nature; it is described on the form as both a “sports bar” and a “brew pub”, leaving little doubt about its intentions to serve great drinks to satisfied regulars.

Bar Billares las Traviesas does not yet have a digital footprint, nor an official opening timeline. The certificate of occupancy is under review as of March 17. What Now Memphis has reached out to ownership and will update readers and information becomes available.
