Năm Café hopes to open at the end of May or beginning of June at 8050 Dexter Road in Cordova, marking the beginning of the business’s journey at its first brick and mortar location.

The café, previously known as 5º Tea Bar, operated as a delivery service and pop-up out of J3 Cajun Seafood, which is located in Mississippi about 22 miles from Năm’s new space. Owners Charles and Tammie Hester first announced its opening in October of last year, What Now Memphis reported.

According to the café’s social media, it serves a variety of bubble teas, along with sodas and both hot and iced coffees. The new Năm Café will “serve the Mid-South area with delicious boba tea, pho, bingsu, and various Vietnamese cuisines,” according to the company’s social media.

Charles Hester told What Now Memphis that they have been renovating since March and redoing all of the aesthetics of the space. The café will also be open on the weekends until about 2 or 3 a.m. in order to offer a place for people who don’t like to party or hangout at bars.

Hester added that they changed the name to Năm Café in order to reflect the menu’s new food offerings.

“Tea and milk tea and drinks are our number one and then right after that is going to be pho,” Hester said. “We’re not a full blown restaurant… But when you have one main menu item that is just outstanding, then it’s different.”

The 3,469-square foot space also includes an outdoor patio.
