Last year, plans for a new Captain D’s Seafood in Arlington were announced, though the exact address was not initially disclosed. Now, that detail has been confirmed.

According to recent permits filed with the city, the upcoming Captain D’s will be located at 11610 US-70. The 1,900-square-foot restaurant will include a drive-thru and a lobby with a music system.

This new location is being developed by Nufish, LLC, one of the nation’s largest Captain D’s franchise operators. Owner Joe Springer signed a 10-store development agreement earlier this year, with additional locations planned for Oakland and Summer Ave.

Captain D’s currently operates more than 500 locations across the United States, including over a dozen in the Memphis area. The fast-casual seafood chain is known for its fried fish, shrimp, lobster, crab, and sandwiches.

Nufish received planning committee approval for the Arlington site in June 2023, and construction began in early 2024. An official opening date has not yet been announced.
