A few weeks ago, What Now Memphis reported that Cheers Restaurant & Bar was planning an expansion. Now, owner Annie Jackson has revealed more details.

The new location will open inside the Memphis Light Gas & Water building at 245 S Main St in Downtown Memphis, confirmed Jackson in a recent Facebook post announcing the news. “Bring your appetite to our upcoming location,” she wrote.

Founded in 2024, Cheers has become a Horn Lake favorite, offering casual comfort food in a lively, upbeat setting. The menu features crowd-pleasers like cheeseburgers, spaghetti, and macaroni and cheese, paired with specialty cocktails, live music, and hookah.

The original eatery offers a variety of themed dining experiences throughout the week, including all-you-can-eat catfish and rib tips on Fridays, Saturday brunch, and Soul Food Sundays. While the new location will have a more limited schedule, fans can expect the same bold flavors and welcoming energy.

The Downtown Memphis restaurant will operate Monday through Friday for lunch only. Be sure to follow Cheers on Facebook and Instagram for opening day updates.
