A popular Chinese-inspired restaurant chain is coming to Jonesboro.
According to a report from KAIT, Panda Express will soon debut at 2100 Fair Park Blvd, next to Anita’s Park Shopping Center and across from Lowe’s.
This location will mark the first Panda Express in Jonesboro and the fifth in the Greater Memphis area. With over 2,500 restaurants worldwide, the chain is known for its American-Chinese offerings such as orange chicken, Beijing beef, and Kung Pao chicken.
After evaluating numerous sites in Jonesboro, the corporate owners settled on the Fair Park Blvd location. The deal was finalized on Monday, and construction is expected to begin next week, with the restaurant slated to open before the end of 2024.
“We’ve been working on this deal for a long time. Two years, at least,” real estate developer Carroll Caldwell told KAIT. “People have hoped for a Panda Express in Jonesboro for a long time.”
