A restaurant chain known for its made-to-order breakfast, brunch, and lunch could be opening its first Memphis area location.

First Watch has submitted a Design Review Commission application to revamp the former Chili’s site at 7810 Poplar Ave in Germantown. Mackenzie Garrett, Public Relations Manager at First Watch, told What Now Memphis that the company could not confirm the development at this time.

The chain offers a blend of classic and creative breakfast options, including elevated versions of classics like bacon, eggs, and toast, as well as specialties like the Quinoa Power Bowl, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, and Morning Meditation Juice.

Founded in 1983 in Pacific Grove, California, First Watch currently operates more than 535 locations across 29 states, including 10 in Tennessee alone. Chris Tomasso, the company’s president and CEO, boasts more than 25 years of experience leading well-known brands like Cracker Barrel and Hard Rock Café International.

“Germantown always welcomes businesses that add to our vibrant community,” said Mayor Mike Palazzolo. “The potential arrival of First Watch is something our residents will surely celebrate!”
