A new restaurant from local chefs Andy Ticer and Michael Hudman looks to be headed to Germantown.

The duo may be bringing their Josephine Estelle concept to 6695 Poplar Ave, in a newly constructed building within The Standard Germantown, according to Memphis Business Journal.

A commercial alteration permit filed on February 6, 2025 details plans for the restaurant’s buildout, including framing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC work, and finishes, with an estimated total cost of $2 million.

Under their Enjoy A|M Restaurant Group, Ticer and Hudman have opened several acclaimed Memphis eateries, including Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen, Hog & Hominy, and Catherine & Mary’s. The chefs are also frequent James Beard Award finalists.

Josephine Estelle originally launched in 2016 at the Ace Hotel in New Orleans, offering a unique blend of Italian and Southern American cuisine. Popular dishes included orecchiette, ravioli, duck breast, and striped bass. The restaurant closed last year following the rebranding of Ace Hotel by Hyatt.

Neither Ticer nor Hudman could be reached for comment, so keep an eye out for updates as Josephine Estelle takes shape in Germantown.
