A seafood restaurant in Bartlett has temporarily closed its doors.

Great Hunter Crab announced the closure via Facebook on the afternoon of March 11, 2025, stating, “Great Hunter Crab will be temporarily closed for emergency repairs. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure a safe and enjoyable dining experience for you.”

Since its debut at 8325 US-64 in January 2022, the eatery has gained popularity for its po’ boys, soups, salads, and seafood-in-a-bag—where diners can mix and match up to two pounds of seafood, including little neck clams, shrimp, crawfish, black mussels, and blue crab. The restaurant also boasts a full bar and live music.

Owner Jenn Wang briefly confirmed the closure with What Now Memphis but did not provide a reopening timeline.
