The Huey’s restaurant located at 77 S 2nd St in downtown Memphis will soon temporarily close for renovations.

Scheduled to halt operations on April 16, the popular burger joint is slated to reopen on April 25, pending completion of the renovations. This announcement comes on the heels of major renovations at the East Memphis Huey’s, which was initially set to reopen today but remains closed as final touches are applied.

A recent press release from the company details the planned upgrades for Downtown Huey’s, emphasizing some “much-needed dining room and kitchen repairs,” including new kitchen floors, a new walk-in freezer, and a new sink. The estimated cost for the renovations is $49,000.

Huey’s Chief Operating Officer Steven Voss expressed enthusiasm for the project, stating, “Our team is excited to offer the public a newly renovated space that will hopefully lend to an even more enjoyable atmosphere and many more memories filled with Blues, Brews & Burgers in the future.”

While waiting for the East Memphis and downtown locations to reopen, customers are invited to dine at any of the other eight open Huey’s locations throughout Memphis.
