A Florida-based Italian ice franchise recently closed its only Memphis area location, but another one is already on the way.
Jeremiah’s Italian Ice closed its doors at 3717 Summer Ave at the end of 2024. The shop announced the closure on Facebook, writing “While we’ve thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to scoop up flavorful experiences for all of our incredible guests, we have decided to close our doors. We thank you for your visits and for your dedication to our business.”
But fans of the frozen treat won’t have to wait long. According to Jeremiah’s website, a new location is set to open soon at 8079 Trinity Rd in Cordova, taking over a former Backyard Burger building. City permits indicate that the project is in the permitting phase of development.
Patrons can expect the same menu of Italian ice in rotating flavors like mango, cake batter, and root beer, along with soft-serve ice cream and signature ‘Layer-Ins’ (layers of Italian ice and soft serve topped with cookies and candies).
What Now Memphis has reached out to Jeremiah’s Italian Ice and will update this page as more information becomes available. For opening day updates, follow Jeremiah’s Cordova on Facebook.
