Get ready Memphis, an exciting new fusion concept is coming to the neighborhood. Levant Lounge & Cafe is bringing hookahs and coffee to the area, and it is opening soon.

The new concept is opening at 5798 Raleigh Lagrange Road-a space that locals will know already has some experience with hookahs, having previously housed Royal Hookah Cafe.

Besides keeping the storefront on a thematically consistent path, there is not a great deal of information presently available about Levant. What we do know comes primarily from a certificate of occupancy under review by the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development. The form shows that the 1,250 square foot establishment-described only as a “Hookah Lounge Cafe/Levant Lounge Cafe”-will have an occupant load of 83.

While this is not necessarily a satisfying amount of information, future Memphis regulars won’t have to wait too much longer to find out what Levant Lounge & Cafe will bring to the table. The concept does not have an expansive presence online, however an Instagram page is up and live, with one post teasing the venue and assuring Memphians that it is “coming soon”. What Now Memphis has reached out to ownership for further details and will update readers as information becomes available.
