A popular Memphis-area Chinese restaurant is getting ready to blossom into a new neighborhood. Little Petals-a takeout focused offshoot of Petals of a Peony-is bringing its signature fare to a new Collierville location, reports local media outlet Daily Memphian.

The eatery announced its upcoming 890 West Poplar Avenue location 3 weeks ago, via asocial media post. 2025 has been a momentous year for Petals of a Peony-it opened a Little Petals location in East Memphis, at 5167 Poplar Avenue, just last week. It’s still too early in the development process to estimate an opening date for the Collierville spot; when one enthusiastic fan inquired about it, the restaurant responded only that they would announce it when it is close.

General manager Cameron Hidayat explains that the Little Petals team hopes the Collierville location will make the restaurant’s food accessible to a larger crowd. Hidayat states: “We’re still making plans for our Collierville location. With that store, we want to offer a quicker option for people who live far from (the other locations).”

The Collierville location will be Little Petals third storefront, joining the previously alluded to Poplar Avenue outpost and another on Madison Avenue. Hidayat explains the restaurant’s objective, saying: “Even though Little Petals offers more American Chinese food, we still want our Sichuan specials from Petals of a Peony, well known.”
