A few months ago, local award-winning baker Audrey Anderson bid farewell to her beloved Cordova pie shop, The Pie Folks, after nearly two decades of serving the community. However, she hinted at an exciting new chapter just around the corner, and now, more details about her next venture have come to light.
Recently filed city permits reveal that Anderson is preparing to launch Planet Banana at 4105 Elvis Presley Blvd in Whitehaven.
The banana-themed bakery pays homage to the king of Rock ‘n’ Roll with a menu that includes Banana Cream Pie, Banana Smoothies, Banana Ice Cream, and Banana Pudding, as well as an Elvis-inspired Peanut Butter and Banana Pie.
Anderson told What Now Memphis that Planet Banana is expected to open its doors next month, in February 2025.
