Last summer, it was reported that an international chicken wing chain was planning an ambitious expansion across Greater Memphis. Now, more details have come to light.

Troy Morrison, owner of local franchise group Memphis Wings, recently told What Now Memphis that construction is underway for a new Wingstop at 8390 US-51, Suite 104 in Millington. The eatery is scheduled to open its doors on June 16, 2025 and will be the first Wingstop in Millington.

The new restaurant is part of a broader expansion for Memphis Wings. A previously announced location on Elvis Presley Blvd opened just a couple of weeks ago. Meanwhile, an Arlington Wingstop is set to debut on January 20, and a Summer Ave site is scheduled to launch on February 28.

With more than ten already established locations in the region, Morrison praised Memphians for the warm welcome they’ve given Memphis Wings. “It’s been amazing to be part of the city,” he said. But the company’s commitment to Memphis extends beyond dishing up combos and party packs.

At a recent conference, Wingstop raised roughly $1.6 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. They’ve also been long-time sponsors of the Liberty Bowl, support high school students in the area, and regularly partner with the University of Memphis.

“We’re trying to really bring some life into the community, from our perspective,” said Morrison. “And we just have a wonderful team [in Memphis]… I mean, probably one of the best teams I have throughout my company. They are just really good and dedicated to getting things done.”

Keep an eye out for further updates as Wingstop continues its rapid Memphis area expansion.
