Memphis’s next great coffee adventure is bringing the heat to the city later this year. Ritual: Bistro, Coffee & Sips will be opening downtown in 2026, reports Commercial Appeal.

The cafe will be opening in the 1,012 square foot storefront located at 505 South Main Street that previously housed Bluff City Coffee. A commercial alteration permit filed with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development pertaining to the shop shows that Ritual will have an occupant load of 40.

Ritual is the passion project of entrepreneur Wade Hartsfield, a businessman with considerable experience in catering operations. His background will doubtless help launch the new cafe project to abundant success. Future regulars can look forward to enjoying breakfast and lunch selections from a food menu offering light options. Additionally, Ritual will feature craft beverages and a retail component.

Ritual’s development was assisted through a $30,000 retail improvement grant provided by the Center City Development Corp.
