Memphis will soon welcome a new Guatemalan restaurant.

Restaurante la Bendicion is preparing to open at 4630 American Way, occupying a freestanding building that once housed a Pizza Hut. Owner Domingo Vasquez Ramirez confirmed this development with What Now Memphis, and his daughter elaborated on the restaurant’s offerings.

She shared that Restaurante la Bendicion will showcase a menu rooted in traditional Guatemalan flavors, featuring favorites such as tostadas, tamales, and hilaches (shredded beef with tomato sauce and tomatillo). Alongside this classic cuisine, the eatery will also offer a selection of Mexican dishes.

Anticipated to debut in approximately four weeks, Restaurante la Bendicion has already undergone minor renovations, including a fresh coat of paint, to create an inviting space for its future patrons.
