A pair of top Memphis chefs are nearing the opening of a new location for one of their restaurants. Andy Ticer and Michael Hudman will be opening a Germantown installation of their Italian concept, Josephine Estelle, early this year, reports Commercial Appeal.
The restaurant initially launched in New Orleans in 2016. Josephine Estelle will be exploring its next incarnation at 6695 Poplar Avenue. The eatery will be a part of The Standard Germantown Development; while a precise opening date is not yet available, Josephine Estelle has begun recruiting staff and is on deck to open at some point early this year.
A commercial alteration permit filed with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development provided some insight into the scope of the work needed to turn the space into Josephine Estelle’s new home: “A tenant buildout restaurant space. There will be framing, plumbing, electrical and HVAC work and all finishes to be completed. Existing fire sprinkler system will have to be adjusted.”
What Now Memphis will update readers as more information becomes available.
