Not many cities are lucky enough to enjoy a single taste of paradise, let alone to indulge in a second helping. Memphis is about to join that rarefied company, as beloved dining institution Poke Paradise, led by Chef Jimmy Sinh, readies its second location.

The local favorite’s expansion to the Tennessee Brewery apartment building, located at 495 Tennessee Street, was inspired in part by the concept’s catering success. Owner Jimmy Sinh kindly filled What Now Memphis in on this development, saying: “Our catering has grown a lot the past 5 years so I needed a kitchen that I can use for my catering.”

However, foodies in the area hoping to grab a bite won’t leave empty-stomached. Poke Paradise will also be serving guests. While the restaurant will certainly delight old fans and new, the experience will see some changes from the established model. Sinh explains: “I’ll be doing lunch as well as dinner, but lunch would be like Poke Paradise and at nighttime would be reservations only. Dinner time will be offering a more exclusive menu.”

Sinh has a hectic schedule, making it impossible to pinpoint a precise opening date. However he has the keys to the new space and anticipates being customers ready in between one and one-and-a-half months.

Memphis diners who simply cannot wait to sink their teeth into Poke Paradise’s fare can stop into its existing location at 6343 Summer Ave Suite 110-a storefront that the restaurant’s many fans on social media were relieved to hear will remain up and running.
