New Owner To Take Over One Location Of Memphis Chain JR Fish and Chicken

Incoming owner Baseem Imbrahim said he would not be changing the menu.

Baseem Imbrahim confirmed to What Now Memphis that he will be taking over as owner of JR Fish and Chicken at 7948 Winchester Road beginning June 1.

Imbrahim said that he will not be changing the menu, and that the restaurant will continue to offer fish and chicken combos, wings, sandwiches and fries, among other dishes. The Memphis-based chain also has two other locations at 3196 Austin Peay Highway and 2200 Frayser Boulevard.  

According to the company website, they offer both pick-up and delivery. The locations are open from 10:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M Monday through Saturday and 11:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. on Sundays.

The Winchester location is inside a shopping plaza next to a variety of other stories, including a nail salon, beauty supply store and a Kroger, along with several other restaurants like Papa John’s.

Several other new businesses are opening on Winchester Road, including a Waffle House that is under construction at 9043 Winchester Road, and Harold’s Fish and Chicken, an independently-owned joint, at 5181 Winchester Road, What Now Memphis previously reported.
