Something exciting is on the horizon for Memphis residents hungering for a fresh, new Mexican food option. A restaurant called Taqueria La Casa De Los Sabores is making its way through the permitting process and preparing to feed the local community.

The Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development issued Taqueria La Casa De Los Sabores a certificate of occupancy for a storefront at 3057 Thomas Street in September. The paperwork shows that the restaurant will span 2,163 square feet. A commercial mechanical permit states that the space is getting a new water heater and commercial range installed-the permit was issued on October 3, so while the work is likely not completed yet, the project is enjoying forward momentum.

Taqueria La Casa De Los Sabores-which roughly translates to “Taqueria, The House of Flavors”- is owned by Ana Gomez. What Now Memphis has reached out to Gomez for further details about the new concept and will update readers as information becomes available.
