Memphis, get ready to bend an elbow at a new and welcoming neighborhood hangout. On the Rox Bar and Grill-a concept that promises to be “your spot for food, brews & unforgettable fun”- is currently under construction and making great progress towards serving Millington.

Memphis’s next great tavern will be opening at 6353 Navy Road. Paperwork filed with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development shows that On the Rox will have 4,900 square feet in which to greet and serve customers. The project is progressing well; photos provided to What Now Memphis by ownership show a nearly completed, warm interior. The decor has a classic pub-feel; there is plenty of natural wood and exposed brick, certain to make visitors feel right at home.

Furthering the sense of a neighborhood place where everybody knows your name, On the Rox will feature four dartboards for guests to enjoy.

An opening date is not yet available for On the Rox, however the bar’s Facebook page states that it’s “coming soon”-a status echoed in the development shown in the pictures.  The restaurant is certain to become a local favorite-it’s aspirations are simple but admirable: “On the Rox Bar & Grill is bringing the flavor, the fun, and the ice-cold drinks to your neighborhood! From delicious food to refreshing cocktails and the best game-day vibes, we’re ready to be your new go-to hangout spot.”
