A popular expanding bakery chain is preparing to serve up the best of France and Vietnam at a second Memphis location. Paris Banh Mi is inching closer to its Cordova debut, with signs that indicate it’s opening relatively soon.
The eatery will be serving hungry locals at 2362 North Germantown Parkway, Suite #110, in the storefront that previously housed Genghis Grill. According to a social media post from Town of Cordova signage is up and hiring is underway-a positive indicator for locals craving a banh mi or delicious pastry.
There is not, however, a definitive opening timeline available for the location yet. The website and social media page list it only as “coming soon”. Local ownership confirmed to What Now Memphis that the Cordova location is still actively hiring and awaiting inventory, making it impossible to presently provide an opening date.
Paris Banh Mi’s Cordova location will be open Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 10 pm, Friday through Saturday from 10 am to 11 pm, and Sunday from 11 am to 10 pm. The chain already has one location open in Collierville at 255 New Byhalia Road #116.
Paris Banh Mi strives to bring the most delicious version of a sandwich with a rich history to its diners. The website explains: “Founded by Hien Tran from Paris, France and Doan Nguyen from Saigon, Vietnam, Paris Banh Mi Cafe Bakery brings authentic baguette bánh mì across America. Starting in Orlando, Florida, we’ve grown coast to coast from California to Florida. The French baguette was introduced to Vietnam in the mid-19th century, and by the 1950s, a unique Vietnamese sandwich style developed in Saigon. Our founders combine this heritage with clean, spacious dining and enthusiastic service.”
