Another Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers location is in the works for Greater Memphis.

On Feb. 26, 2025, a representative from the chicken chain filed an application with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development, according to Memphis Business Journal. The new restaurant will feature a dual drive-thru lane and is set to take over the former Red Lobster site at 7750 Winchester Rd in Southeast Memphis.

With more than 700 locations nationwide, the Louisiana-based eatery is known for its hand-battered chicken fingers, Texas toast, crinkle-cut fries, and signature Cane’s sauce—all staples in the popular Box Combo meal.

While there are currently no Cane’s locations in Greater Memphis, this Southeast Memphis site is one of three in development in the area. Additional locations are planned near the Wolfchase Galleria in Northeast Memphis and in Southaven, both of which are expected to open later this year.

What Now Memphis has reached out to Vice President of Company Restaurants Jason Zwerin for more details and will provide updates as they become available.
