A much-anticipated fast-casual chicken chain is finally coming to Memphis.

On Monday, a commercial construction permit was filed with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development for a 3,153-square-foot Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers at 2810 N Germantown Pkwy.

Formerly a Bed Bath & Beyond, the building will soon undergo a complete transformation. The project details reveal that the new restaurant will be constructed from the ground up, featuring drive-thru lanes and an outdoor patio area.

This development follows closely on the heels of approval for another Raising Cane’s in Southaven, scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2025. While the Baton Rouge-based chicken chain boasts over 700 restaurants nationwide, the two upcoming sites will be the first in Greater Memphis. Currently, the closest locations are in Oxford and Tupelo, Mississippi.

Founded in 1996, Raising Cane’s is celebrated for its hand-battered marinated chicken fingers, Texas toast, crinkle-cut fries, and signature dipping sauce. The eatery also offers a variety of southern-style sides and sandwiches.

An opening date for Memphis’ first Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers has not yet been announced.
