A brand new self-serve wine concept called Sippin’ Silo is getting ready to debut later this year in Silo Square.
The new 1,350-square-foot location will be located on the square on May Boulevard next to Bank 3 and Hotworx, according to DeSoto Times-Tribune. Customers can expect a variety of 24 wines on self-serve taps, as well as various cocktails from a full bar and food options. The menu will consist of typical foods that pair well with wines, such as charcuterie boards, flatbreads, and bruschetta flights. Owner Kevin Patel tells What Now Memphis that he expects to open this new concept sometime in October 2023.
“I am very excited,” Patel tells DeSoto Times-Tribune. “I think Silo Square is the perfect location for it. Being an entertainment district, people can come here and use the wine machines, get their wine, and walk and shop or go across the street for a concert.”
When customers walk inside the building, they can expect an intimate space with low lighting for about 49 people, plus space for about 35-40 people outside on the patio. Every customer will start a tab and be given a card. From there, they can scan the card on the machine and choose from a one-ounce serving, a three-ounce serving, or a five-and-a-half-ounce serving, allowing customers to test the wines before committing to a full pour.
“I have been to similar concepts around the country and wanted to bring that same vibe back to Southaven,” Patel tells What Now Memphis. “I’ve partnered with a company called wineemotion that will provide climate-controlled self-dispensing wine machines, allowing our guests to have a completely unique experience not found around here.”
